Rooted Academy is an educational setting for homeschool and online learning families to utilize. We have set up a flexible schedule with different options that will meet the needs of many families that are looking to use a hybrid model for their educational journey.

Content: Science, Social Science, Electives, Life Skills with reading and math embedded within daily lessons.

Rooted Academy
Elementary sections of Rooted Academy are full for the 2024-2025 school year but we do have space available for older children (ages 11-14) in our intermediate section. Please add yourself to the waitlist by selecting the desired section and enter your email.

A $75 non refundable application fee is due at the time of registration. This fee is separate from tuition. Tuition can be paid three different ways.

Tuition is dependent on the option you pick and on the installment plan you choose.
Tuition is independent of the number of children you register.
Discounts:
A 10% discount will be applied if tuition for each semester is paid in full.
A 15% discount will be applied if tuition for the entire year is paid in full.

We use our mission along with the seasons and general scientific concepts that are geared toward each age leveled group to help us determine our themes. We then We create a curriculum using a combination of our own activities combined with activities from other like minded educators to help students accomplish their goals.

Monthly thematic units will guide our studies through the science and social science topics. Literacy and math will be embedded within the daily activities. In addition, we will also be focusing on grade-level reading concepts throughout the day. Specifically, grades K-2 will focus on foundational literacy skills while grades 3-5 will focus on literature studies, vocabulary, and fluency.
Each month we will also be teaching about specific life skills and electives by either weaving them into our thematic unit of study or by stand alone strands.

This program will never assign homework. However, we encourage you to explore and foster organic discussions and extension activities that arise from your child’s experiences and exposure to various topics covered during Rooted Academy throughout the year.

Rooted Academy is suited best for 5.5-11 year olds. (kindergarten through 5th grade) If you would like to enroll an older child (6th-8th grade), please consider the intermediate section offered on Mondays. Our Little Wild Roots program is ideal for 3-5 year olds.

We intend to keep classes small with a teacher to student ratio of approximately 1:10.

All of our programs are intended for parents to drop off and pick up children. Parents are actually encouraged to allow their children the independent experience but if your child is a bit nervous the first time, you are more than welcome to stay until they are comfortable.

We suggest you sign your child up for one option that best fits their learning journey.

Students are not able to mix and match options due to sequential learning patterns and varying class sizes. If a hybrid schedule is needed for your child, please reach out before registering and we will try to accommodate as best as we can.
