Testimonials
Families share their experiences about being part of Project Wild Rooted’s programs.
“Our daughter was shy and easily overwhelmed. We wanted to gently push her a bit out of her comfort zone to experience new things. Since her time in PWR, our daughter has improved in her ability and desire to explore and try new things! Overall the whole experience has been positive! Being involved in this program is a great chance for your child to experience nature that they won’t get in the regular school environment.”

“It is a close, affordable, nature based outdoor learning experience. My children’s confidence and willingness to try new things have increased tremendously. They also have an eagerness to meet new children when we go to other places (parks and whatnot) and growing leadership skills.
Try it! You and your child[ren] will absolutely love!”

“We knew our son would strongly benefit from a non-traditional pre-k. He is very gross motor and having him sit at a desk and color did not seem like a great option for him. We were so happy to find a nature based schooling option for him that is close to home. He really enjoys it, never fights to go to nature school and has been asking about it while on break. We appreciate the social aspect of school and the dynamic of how his time is spent at Project Wild Rooted. We also appreciate the class size isn’t too large and the teachers have really seemed to get to know our son! We are so grateful for this program!
It’s totally worth it!”

“We are a homeschool family and my four (4) year old specifically has never spent time around kids his own age due to covid as a 1 to 2 year old and then moving states. For our seven (7) year old, we wanted her to be around other homeschooled peers. We felt Project Wild Rooted would be a great addition to our lifestyle for multiple reasons- first, it offers a unique opportunity for our daughter to be around other kids that are homeschooled in a way other community activities don't provide; second, it provides a very hands on and active outlet for my son that would allow him to socialize with peers without parental involvement. Our son has grown in his social confidence and his comfortability and enjoyment being away from his family and with other positive people. Our daughter has made friends with other homeschooled kids, which is a blessing in and of itself. She is learning in an active manner that is very hands on and she loves it. I have just loved the energy of the teachers and staff. Every one of you has been magnificently welcoming and supportive.
Give it a try through the Saturday camps first, your kids will love it and the teachers/staff are fantastic.”

“PTSD with the public school system led us to Project Wild Rooted. We are thrilled to have found a safe space for our daughter to learn & LOVE learning outside the home. She loves attending classes with her new friends. THANK YOU!!!! Prior to signing our girl up - it was snot face & tears to get her to enter the public school building. All resistance and build up of PTSD of events that happened to our girl while attending public school. But now my daughter loves classes, loves her teachers & begs to go to school.”

“We want our children to grow up spending as much time outside as possible, but in the colder months we, as parents, lack motivation to get them outside, so this program has been a great reminder to appreciate and embrace all of the seasons. Since attending Project Wild Rooted, when my children play outside they enjoy getting dirty and they especially love the mud kitchen! It is also fun to hear my daughter come home and talk about concepts like nocturnal and diurnal animals, migrating, and hibernating, and being excited to build bird feeders to help animals through the winter. The opportunity for young kids to learn to use tools in a safe way is also an awesome life skill they get to develop!
Sign up your child, they'll love it!”

“This program supplements our homeschool beliefs in a more public setting. The teachers are exemplary and go above and beyond expectations. The program is thorough and inclusive of all the beliefs, convictions, and curriculum that we hold as a family. It seriously complements our lifestyle and how we educate and raise our children. Our children have increased their knowledge base in math, science, life, relationships, as well as history and geography. More than this they have become more confident in their own physical and psychological abilities. The teachers work tirelessly to provide each child a special place in their program. Your children will never feel bullied, left out, or left behind. They are constantly gently pushing your child into situations to build them up and grow their emotional development just as much as their physical and knowledge base.
The cost can seem overwhelming but it is so worth it. Sit down and create your budget sheets and absolutely build this in for your children.”
